With Christmas just round the corner the Vetcall Team would like to wish you and your families and furry loved ones a very Merry Christmas, and best wishes for the year ahead.

We are grateful for your loyalty and support and the great relationships we have developed with many of you over the years.

Thanks from Colin and myself to our wonderful nurses who support us and make it a pleasure to come to work each day. We are lucky to have such a stable and experienced team. A special thanks also to Dr Susanne Anderson for her regular weekend cover throughout the year which enables Colin and I to get away with the kids and recharge. Congratulations to Kash who has just completed her postgraduate nursing diploma and to good luck to Lucy who embarks on this challenge next year.

Colin and I attended the Western Veterinary Conference in Las Vegas in March and the Wanaka Conference in August. It’s great to be able to keep up with the latest advances in veterinary medicine and surgery so that we can incorporate this knowledge into the care we offer to our patients.

On the family front the year has been a blur of school and after school activities and we are looking forward to dropping back a gear over the holidays. Luca has recently turned nine and Erika is six. We are enjoying getting out and exploring the outdoors with them now that they are a bit older.

Excellent new flea products now available:

Keep your pet and household flea free this summer – Bravecto Spot-On 6 month flea control is now available for dogs along with Bravecto Spot-On 3 month flea control for cats. These are excellent products with no resistance and sustained protection…. best of all they don’t rely on you having to remember every month to put them on! Check out our website or have a chat to one of the team for more information.
