Warmest greetings from the Vetcall Team. We hope you, your pet/s and family are well.

The team at Vetcall Animal Hospital would like to wish you, your family and pet(s) a Merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous New Year.

2014 has been another busy year at Vetcall. In August we took the plunge and upgraded our existing client data base and financial software to an integrated veterinary cloud based system. The transition as expected was fairly stressful!......but a few months down the line the glitches are all sorted, and we are reaping the rewards of much improved efficiency and detail in our record keeping, and client communication.

Our nurses Kash and Helen have been an amazing support to Colin and I throughout the year.  We thank them for their ongoing dedication and for doing a great job.

Sadly, in early September after 23 years of loyal service our clinic cat Daisy was put to sleep. She was in advanced renal failure and was no longer enjoying her usual activities.  As a team we decided against aggressive treatment and let her go while she still had some quality of life left. Her quirky traits have left us with many fond memories.

On the home front the year has flown by.  Our son Luca turns six next week.  He is Lego mad and comes up with a new creation most days. He also really enjoys his swimming lessons and in winter was given the nick name 'the blue streak' for his no stops or turns approach to skiing!

Erika has recently turned 3 and is suddenly into all sorts of girly things, dolls and soft toys. She now has more hours at day-care and loves the messy play activities and water trough.

Colin’s parents have recently emigrated from South Africa to Christchurch.  With willing baby sitters just round the corner we have managed to get out a bit more on our mountain bikes together. In March we hope to complete the Motatapu mountain bike race.

Claire and Colin Cable and the Vetcall Team.
