Christmas Cheers from Vetcall

07 Dec 2023

From our family at Vetcall to yours, we wish you and your families and furry friends a happy, safe, and relaxing time over the Christmas and New Year holiday season.

Thank you for trusting our small family team to take care of your precious pets.  We love the relationships we get to build and share with you and your pet, and we look forward to working together again in 2024.

We will be closed over the public holiday long weekends, but you can be assured that the awesome folks at the After-Hours Veterinary Centre will take great care of any emergencies that crop up while we are closed.

The After-Hours phone number is 03 366 1052.

Summer Holiday Checklist:

Vaccinations: For those of you intending to put your pet in a boarding facility over the holiday period, please remember to get their vaccinations up to date in advance and avoid a last-minute panic visit to the clinic, or them being refused entry to the boarding facility.

Medications and Pet Food: If your pet is on prescription medication or food, please make sure you have enough supplies on hand to get you through the times that we are closed.

Travel Sickness/Stress: If your pet gets car sick or stressed when travelling give us a call or pop in for a chat as we have a range of treatments available for motion sickness and to reduce stress and anxiety whilst traveling.

Flea Control: Remember to keep your pet up to date with their preventive treatment and avoid nasty itching and skin problems. Kennels and catteries are flea breeding factories so make sure your pet is up to date before you drop them off or you will be bringing home more than just your pet! Come and have a chat to us about what will suit you and your pet best.

Thanks to our team:

A special shout out from Colin and myself to our wonderful team; Kash, Lucy, Sophie and Susanne who make it a pleasure to come to work each day. We are so lucky to have such a stable and experienced team alongside us.

And to wrap things up:

Thanks for your support, and we hope the holiday season brings an opportunity to rest and recharge, and spend some quality time with your families, friends and of course pets!
